For some reason I haven't had anything to say for almost a week. I think that video on being miserable was lingering a little too long! And... I've been thinking a lot about the amount of time I spend on the computer and frankly, I'm a little burned out!
There could be more to this. I think somewhere deep down I'm a little sad that John will be moving out of state pretty soon. There's something about a mother wanting her children to stay in the nest, knowing that it's my job to help them fly out of it... and even healthy. I'm trying to come to grips with the whole idea. You already know my daughter lives in NYC, so that means I'll have to get on a plane to see both of them.
Anyway, it's Thursday for a couple more hours and I was thinking about all I have to be thankful for this week.
We played our first round of the season. Life is good even with a nasty swing!

Lincoln's new clubs. I didn't get a good picture of him. I just got one of him buffing them after each and every shot! I tried to get a video of his swing, but had the camera turned sideways so it didn't look right.
John would be very mad at me if he knew I posted this picture. :)
This is my Praise Report! My daughter shared this song with me the other night! It was the best part of my week! God is doing some huge things in her heart! I'm more than grateful!
I have so much to be thankful for and I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to share it here! We don't take any of it for granted! God is SO good!
Love,
Angie xoxo

God is so good! I think if any of us took the time to list ALL our blessings, we'd be writing for a long, long time!
I understand about John moving out of state. It can seem so far away...but, it is wonderful when they call you on the phone, and you can hear the excitement in their voice as they tell you all the things they are experiencing! Just as it should be...but still hard on a Mama's heart!
LIstening to your new song as I type...good sound-I haven't heard of them. Lincoln's got him some shiny golf clubs! I thought your swing looked powerful.
Just as mine come home after being gone for several years out of state & country, you are having to say goodbye. I am so thankful for planes that make 3 hour flights from 18 hour drives.
You're in my prayers for peace to know that is what we raised them to do--fly out of the nest on their own successfully. I know you are so proud of both of them!
Love,
Annette
Oh friend...I've walked that lonesome road, but I can tell you that it gets better and can be a wonderful time for you and your husband! Rest in the fact that you've done a good job preparing them...it's up to them, now, to stand on their firm foundation and let go of your hand as they take hold of His.
Love to you this day,
Melinda
Ang, you looked so 'in form' out there on that course! Although I've never had the privilege of having kids, I'm sure it's hard to see them go their own ways and the nest is so empty, but I'm wishing you a special weekend...do something nice for yourself...kay?
Love you
Barb
Ang...I pray you are filled with peace...great pics and music...thanks for sharing...

I have never hit a golf ball, well except of the miniature variety, and I live in Arizona. I could play everyday but my husband HATES the game, oh well. You look great out there.
It is hard to let the kids fly the coupe, praying God's gives you peace.
Blessings for a fabulous weekend.
Cindy
I am in L.O.V.E. with this song.
Plus, I cannot imagine how hard it is to let your babies fly away ... I am praying Jesus comes back before I find out - I truly am!
Love ya!
Hi Angie, I know the feeling about them leaving the nest - hope it's not too difficult.
I love Johns' pic and can hear him say,
"Oh Mom!" but he'll be pleased inside.
Good luck with the golfing - have a great summer.Love J
I finally tried the running technique you told me about. I am wondering how long it's going to take for me to be able to run effortlessly. :)
