It's in the waiting...
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31 KJV)
What are you waiting for?
I never realized until this morning how exhausting it is to wait. I'm probably the most impatient person I know. In these times when we are waiting for college acceptance letters, our daughters and sons to meet the right guy or girl (praying for their spouses in the meantime), the right job to come along, our economy to improve, the snow to go away, our marriages to improve, lose those couple of pounds, getting in shape, our houses to sell, etc... we might as well just give it up to God. He knows the perfect timing for everything in our lives. It takes discipline to wait upon the Lord. When we wait on Him (not the event) our strength is renewed!
By faith...

GREAT word for all!!
I have seen this so much around blog world, about 'waiting' and boy oh boy does it hit a sweet nerve in my heart. I haven't done the Esther study, however, I've heard time and time again about waiting on the Lord instead of waiting on an event. Such a great reminder! Thanks for reminding me again. Love you, Miss Ang! :)

The thing we miss when we're impationt is that He is in the waiting. There is so much He wants us to be preparing our heart for. I still don't remember much of what that session on Esther was, but it seems like one of the big points was that waiting is not passive. Is that right? That we aren't to be sitting around. Maybe I'm getting them confused. Anyway, praying for you a holy waiting...Love, Annette
Whew!!! Waiting on Jesus to give me the job I need, when He knows that I need it. Praise Him that 'He is never slow to fulfill His promise' as some consider slowness. 2 Peter!
