Okay, I'll go!

Good Morning, Sweet Friends! First of all, thank you so much for all of your prayers for my mother. She is doing so much better. It turns out she didn't have the heart attack after all, but her blood sugar was SO out of control that she needed some immediate attention. We talked with the doctors this morning and discussed the next step concerning her living situation.

The reason I wanted to do this post today is tell you about last night. We got a call from the hospital at 2:00 in the morning. The nurse asked us to come help calm her down since she was having a panic attack. At first I told my sister to go alone (out of my selfishness). You should have been in my mind to hear how I was justifying not going. Something inside of me (The Holy Spirit) made me get my lazy you know what out of bed and go too. I picked up my Bible and went. Yes, I decided to obey.

I could not remember where to go to find the perfect verses that talked about fear and trusting God. (It was the middle of the night.) I looked in the back of my Bible and found Psalm 91. To say I was nervous is an understatement. The lights were bright. We were right outside the nurse's station. Mom was breathing fast and she was definitely panicking. I told her we would pray. We got a cold washcloth for her face and I began to pray. It was messy. God had me read Psalm 91 and we stopped several times to personalize it. On Eagles Wings came to mind and I now know it comes straight from there. It was a very familiar song to us. We sang that song and personalized it, too. It totally calmed her down. It was such a special time.

Psalm 91:2
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

I will catch up on reading your blogs when I get a chance. Know that I appreciate your prayers and am so grateful for the support of you all. Our God is SO BIG!

All my Love,
Angie xoxo

Why is it so hard to just obey? Isn't He precious to show up in such a tender way when we just LAY IT DOWN?

So glad to hear that it was not a heart attack and I'm thrilled that the evening resulted in peace and sweet communion.

Love to you this day,
Melinda

I am very far behind on blog reading this week so I missed the post about prayers for you mom, but glad to read here that she's doing better and did not have a heart attack after all. I will say a little prayer for her (and you) tonight and hope she is feeling 100% again soon.

So glad to hear your mother did not have a heart attack. Isn't it amazing to think before the foundation of the world, the Lord God Almighty knew He would have to kick you out of bed to pray His Word, PS 91 over your dear mother.

Lord, I ask You to give Ang and her sister and everyone concerned wisdom, discernment, and clarity on Theresa's living situation. We thank You that You have a plan for her and it is good, it will not bring her harm. Please fill Theresa with Your peace which passes all understanding and deliver her from fear. In Jesus' Name I pray.

Angie,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's problems. What a relief that it wasn't her heart but I am sure you have still been beside yourself with worry! Our daily walk through this world is so hard sometimes and it is amazing how God comforts and calms us with His word! You are an inspiration in your faith and obedience. Don't beat yourself up over not wanting to go, when it came down to it you listened, obeyed and blessings were released!

What an awesome time with your sister and your mom that you could minister to her with His Word in such a time of need. And the peace that passes understanding was so present in that room. Bless you as you make arrangements for her care. Love you, Annette

Angie, I came over to thank you for praying for CJ and for taking the time to send Dawnie a note on the care pages. I read this post and thought it was beautiful. Very open and honest and such a sweet time it must have been to pray with her and your sister and to sing God's words also. Very sweet, Angie.

Love, Jean
