Part of His World

When I saw a friend's daughter dressed in her Halloween costume the other day, I was reminded of a movie I love. Yes, it's The Little Mermaid. When I was working out this morning, guess what song came on my i-pod? This one! Listen to the words. The Holy Spirit is amazing...

This Daniel study is really getting to me. If you've done the study, you'll remember this clearly... "I am, and there is none besides me." I want to be different. I don't want to have the Babylonian mentality. I want more than this world can offer! The "stuff" I collect doesn't mean anything. I want to be in the sun... SON. I want to be part of His world!

He's all I need!
Love,
Angie

p.s. I know, I am way too child-like... but I'm okay with it!

I love you Angie and I always love what you have to say to us. You bless me each and every time and there is nothing to apologize for in being child-like. That is the exact way God wants us to be. You are perfectly beautiful and awesome!

Thank you for sharing. I too loved that Daniel study and I should probably do it again and again. We all want to be different and not of this world.

Have a blessed weekend. Shine brightly my friend.
Blessings~

We should ALL strive to be more 'childlike'....and I like you just the way you are!

I love that movie too. I remember one part where she called a fork something and thought it was a hairbrush. Well the other night at Bible study, Beth forgot her hairbrush, and guess what she used--that's right a fork--or thing-a-jig??? What did Ariel call it? You are right--there is something very profound about being in the world but not a part but of our heavenly one. Thanks for the smiles and memories of a sweet movie with a bigger point than they probably realized when they wrote it. Love, annie

Good analogy! I love that movie too.
I totally agree with the Babylonian mentality. I love the Daniel study. It changed my whole world perspective.

Oh I loved that movie and all the songs. I think it's great to be child like! We all should hope to have that feeling more often.

Hugs!

I am not sure I can get away from being "childlike" I had the BIGGEST Disney movie collection before I was even pregnant! :) I love Little Mermaid and I REALLY love that Sara loves it too!! She tells me everyday, "mommy, I am a pretty princess" To which I reply, "yes baby, Jesus made you the most beautiful princess in the whole world."
Then she smiles and goes and gets her "magic wand" Oh, to be 2 again!!! If only everything was fixed with a magic wand!!
I love you so sweet friend. Hope this weekend treats you well!! Love ya!
