I'm Happy

Okay, so this picture has absolutely nothing to do with this post! This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of my kids. My daughter has always loved her brother and if you couldn't notice, he was so happy! I think today he is feeling just as happy... which makes me happy too!

I got the best news today! My son, John has made a decision. He has decided NOT to transfer to the University of South Carolina after all! He decided that he LOVES Michigan State University and does not want to move. He is enjoying his college life here, and wants to graduate from MSU! He may move down there for graduate school. I will have him living in the state for a little while longer! My daughter, who graduated this past spring thought he was out of his mind for even thinking about it in the first place! He is very happy today since he made up his mind!

I Praise God because he learned that we all supported him in his decision no matter what!
Thanks for sharing in my excitement this evening!
Love,
Angie xoxo

Oh how exciting!!!! I know you are thrilled! John is such a smart man, I know that he puts a lot of time and thought into decisions like this...so this must be whats right for him right now.

I know that he feels your love and support all the time, but what a true life lesson where you were able to show him!

Defintely sharing in your excitement....and hoping this means we will see you all for the holidays!!!

Love ya,
Stacey

Well, I am just grinning from ear to ear at my computer with you Angie!! I know as a momma you are JUMPING UP AND DOWN to have him "in state" a little while longer.

And, that picture of those two children??!! Do you just not want to eat them up? Even after all these years. My oh my how they take our hearts away!!

Love and Hugs and a whole lotta joy!

That is good news to a mama's heart. It is a sweet lesson for him too to know that you support him even if he knows you prefer something else. We're dealing with that with my daughter and graduate school possibly out of the country. I am so happy if she stays, but know it is a wonderful opportunity. I just want her close to home. And you know what else I am thinking? What if she meets a guy from another country, much less not from Texas! I know right where you are tonight with this good news. And I am smiling with joy. I LOVE that picture too--they are precious.

What a sweet sweet photo. My DIL captures some of the sweetest moments with my grandchildren loving on each other. Photos like that always make you smile as soon as you see them.

I'm sure you're very happy with his decision, naturally, but it's wonderful that he got to make up his mind and knew his family would support him in whatever he decided.

Life is so good...all the time!

Hugs!

Such a precious picture of your kids! How sweet! I have moved out of state from my family... believe me, as much as "independence" is nice, I miss my mom everyday :) I'm glad your boy decided to stay!

Have a great day Angie!

I know I just posted, but I finally got it together after our "talk" this morning. I started a meme on what everyone does for traditions--a chance to read others' and share your own family traditions! I have to admit it took some work figuring out Mr. Linky. If it doesn't work, I'll have wasted the morning, but it sure will be fun to read what everyone does for family traditions, and I'd love to read about your new ones, like the portrait. http://annieseyes.blogspot.com/2007/10/its-family-tradition.html
Thanks for the fun idea. Love you bunches, annie

Ang,
I am so excited that John is staying close and not moving away.
I do not know what I will do when my boys leave for college. I hope they stay close to home :)
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog - my hubby is the best and I love him dearly. BTW: he surprised me with that I had NO idea he had done it :)
Love ya,
Kim

I know you would have been happy and supportive of him no matter what he decided, but I know you are really glad he's going to still be in state!

What is the best job I've ever had?
