Seize the Day!

Our church has been doing a series on the all-time favorite services. Today was my favorite for sure! The main focus of the message was...Life is short. We were each given a marble as we entered the service. Our pastor told us that each marble is equivalent to one week of our lives. Our whole life could fit in one vase! The weeks go by so quickly. We were reminded to live our life on purpose!

Ephesians 5:15-16
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.

They showed a great clip from the movie, Dead Poet's Society, where Robin Williams teaches his students the meaning of "Carpe Diem"...Seize the Day!

It really reminded me to live my life (marbles) loving God and loving others! I don't want to take anything for granted! I want to cherish every moment and realize they are precious. I want to live my life for God and not myself! I want to love God and love His children... TODAY!

I pray you dance!
Love,
Angie xoxo

What a great reminder. I often take life for granted but I need to realize that everyday is a blessing and even when the day has been CRAZY - it still is a gift!
Thank you !

Oh wow! How I need that reminder of living for today with Him and for Him. We get so busy in tasks and stuff that we can forget Who we are living for and what we are living for. I don't want to miss a beat with Him.

blessings to you this day....

Life is so short...I've been to 2 funerals in the past few weeks and both times whether it was an older person in their late 60's or a young person in their 30's...they both mentioned how quickly that persons time had passed. We need to enjoy and fully live each day...they are numbered for us all!!

Oh yeah...and LOVE "Dead Poets Society" my favorite part is where they all stand on their desks and say "O Captain, my Captain" oh-good movie!!

Have a great Monday...love ya siesta!

Carpe diem. Yes, days are short, and life is a vapor. Such an important reminder! What we do does/can make such a difference for Him. I thought when I saw the marbles, you might have lost yours today cleaning for Bible study tomorrow. :) You are going to be blown away bythe wind of His Spirit. That is my prayer. Blown away.

It makes me think of the line from Hook, where Uncle had indeed lost his marbles. But they found them again in Neverland and gave them to him.

Each marble (week), I enjoy reading what God is doing in your life, Ang! Makes me want to press on and press into Jesus.
