New Beginnings

It's a beautiful day in Michigan! My husband is obsessed with going to a certain apple orchard every year and I think today's the day! I pray the bees aren't as bad as they usually are. I pray the donuts are as fresh as always and the cider is the same as it's always been. I will buy some apples to make something to make the house smell nice and cozy!

I love fall because when the leaves change, they are beautiful! I love the smell of burning leaves. The air is crisp. We had a great summer and I love the change of seasons. But... I especially love fall because it's a time for new beginnings!

This morning I started my new devotional book, 90 Days With Jesus the One and Only! I finished my David: 90 Days with a Heart Like His. I cannot think of a better way to start my day than with Jesus! I love the way Beth Moore makes His Word easy for me to understand! I am going to send Whispers of Hope to my daughter in New York! She has never done one of these and I'm sure she will be blessed by it!

I hope these will draw us close to Him!

I hope you make a good memory today!
Love,
Angie xoxo

I love apples! I used to think all apples were just red or green. I did not know they had names and tasted different. I have discovered that my favs are Braeburn and Fuji. I can just imagine how beautiful it would be to go to an apple orchard. Please take pictures, so we can share it with you.

At my school, the children sing the Johnny Appleseed song as a blessing? Are you familiar with it?

Have a great day!

Oh, have you seen Jean's recipe for applesauce on her blog, recipesIneed.blogspot.com? It sounds so good. I have never made homemade applesauce but I can't imagine how good the house will smell!! Also, snacks for your Bible study--is it in the morning or not, either way, brownies work for me. I love to make 2 boxes of Duncan Hines plain or with walnuts, (anyway without the extra Hershey syrup in it)and put three large Hershey Symphony toffee bars right in the center, then the other mix on top (9x13 pan) Everyone raves over these things, and they are so easy. Just a thought...

hey! when i first read this post, i thought it said "I hope the BEARS arn't as bad as usual"! I was thinking, oh my, for apple picking!
releaved to see it was the BEES you were wondering about, not bears.
I found your blog through the grapevine. Nice to meet you!

Annie, my bible study will be in the evening (7-9). I hope that is long enough to get everything done! Your recipe for the brownies looks so good! I will make it for my first meeting! Do I break up the toffee bars?

I will definitely check out Jean's recipe. Holly at crownlaiddown.blogspot.com has good recipes too!

I haven't seen the Whispers of Hope book. Is it a devotional too? Sounds like a good time with the apples!

Hope you enjoyed your day at the orchard, I cant wait to go! The only place I can think that would be better to spend a fall day would be walking the trails in Lake Geneva!!

I saw you through my friend, Emily. You sure are making me want Fall around here. Oklahoma must have not gotten the memo that it's time for Fall. Enjoy your apples!!!

I am just a smidge, okay a lot jealous of your weather. We here in Texas don't so much get a fall and spring. It goes straight from hot to cold back to hot. I bet it is just gorgeous!

I can't wait to start the David devotional!

Thank you for always leaving such sweet, encouraging comments on my blog! I really appreciate it!

I lived in New York for 5 years. Upstate that is. I loved being there during Fall. What you wrote reminded me of that time. We used to go to apple orchards and the doughnuts were so good and so was the cider. We drove to Vermont all the time. I loved driving around and looking at the leaves!
I hope you had a great day at the orchard. :o)
I love Whispers of Hope. I really want 90 Days with Jesus, the One and Only!! I can't wait to get it.
Have a blessed week!
Love,
Patty

The leaves are changing here too and are beautiful!

I'm going to have to try some of this apple cider I keep hearing to be so good up here :)

And I'm jealous for you getting to do this devotional. I hear it's wonderful!

(Agreeing with you in the spirit realm over the Whispers of Hope being sent to your daughter!)

David is wonderful! (Except for a few days ago when it was about Husbands! I still did it, though!) I hope your Bible Study is going wonderful!

And, just so you know, we here in Houston are jealous of the weather! :)

What is the best job I've ever had?
