Thankful Thursday... He's on her side

God is taking me out of my comfort zone this weekend by asking me to talk with a new friend who needs nothing short of holding her hand and pointing her to Jesus. I pray I can be gentle and give her encouragement to make it through the most traumatic time of her life. I want her to know that hope can ONLY be found in Jesus Christ. It is critical that I have the right words to share. Will you please pray for me... and for my new friend? It's so like God to have me talk with her around the same time of year that I heard words from my ex-husband that no woman wants to hear.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Love,
Angie xoxo

p.s. I'm SO honored He would ask...

God uses OUR hurts to help others through them.

We learn such valuable life lessons when we go through trials and emerge victorious! But, bigger than the tragedy we may go through, is the tragedy of not using what we have learned to help others. I think God is so disappointed in us if we, in turn, don't try to 'comfort' others going through the same thing.

Because of your willing spirit to be used as a vessel of this comfort...God will fill your mouth with the words you need to say. You rest assured that you will be prayed for...God will do the rest!

Praying that God will go before you and prepare your friend's heart for just the words that He will give you. He will give you just the words that you need. Just turn it all over to Him and He will supply the words. Blessings on your willingness to share.
