Book Giveaway... Dater's Ed

I am SO proud of my friend, Lisa Jander, author of her newest book, Dater's Ed that was recently published for students and parents to assist in the dating process! According to Lisa, "Dater's Ed is to dating what Driver's Ed is to driving!" She has worked so hard on this book and it's finally out to the public! The only problem with her writing this book is that it's gotten in the way of our coffee dates! She has been so busy scheduling book signings and speaking engagements all over the state and beyond!

I thought it might be fun to give away a copy of her book, so you can be as blessed as I was when I read it! I have no idea how to arrange a giveaway, but if you post a comment here, telling me about your most memorable date, next Sunday (September 14) I'll have my husband pick a name out of a hat and I'll send it to the lucky winner!

I cannot tell you how proud I am of you, Lisa!
Much love,
Angie xoxo

p.s. You'll love this book even if you are already married or think your kids are too young (or old) to date! :)

My most memorable date would be my first date with my husband. We actually met on a blind date. He wasn't aware though that we were being "set-up". Thanks to my friend, we met and 7 months later we were married.

I found your blog a few days ago through Kristens' blog and then today noticed your comment on my sister's, Sarah's blog.

Sounds like a great book!

That is such a neat idea for a book - kudos to your friend
I would love to win the book although my boys are a bit young to date :)

My most memorable date was probably my first date with my husband
WE had been set up by a mutual friend and decided to meet for lunch
When my hubby walked into the restaurant we realized we had actually met twice before (the first time we met he asked me out and I said no - hehe)

We hit it off instantly this time - the third time is a charm right :)
and we were married 4 months later
Love ya sweet Ang,
Kim

Ok My most memorable date

My high school boyfriend, who came from money picked me up with a dozen roses and wisked me off to this way to fancy resturant. That date had to much pressure for me, but I broke the ice by attempting to cut my (very) well done steak and sending half of it to the table next to us...
Don't cha know you just can't make a good ole country girl high class

My most memorable date? At prom, my strapless dress kept sliding down. I hiked it up all night. Nightmare, anyone? Please sign me up for the giveaway!

I did not date much at all. so it was an occasion when I did have a date.

So, my dad was turning 60. Which means that all six of his kids were in town and hanging around the house. Along with their spouses and their children. And I, for once, had a date. which was one more event for the whole family to celebrate.

So I went on the date, it went well - at least I thought it did. Then he took me home - to my parents house. Where the whole family was waiting. Waiting at the door. And the windows. Waiting and watching. Watching every move.

Needless to say, I did not invite him in. And when he turned around and saw 19 faces staring him down, he said a very quick goodbye, jumped into his car and sped away as fast as his little pinto could carry him.

Yeah, there was no second date.

Well of course my most memorable date was my first date w/ my husband. My sister set us up... we went to a party at a mutual friends.

My most memorable High School date was with a basektball player who was as sweet as he was tall. He too me to a regional playoff game for our first date! I loved it - cause I was a sports fanatic. We made quite an odd couple he was 6'5" and I was 5'2"

Please put me in the drawing - I can share the book w/ my sister - my nieces are just getting to that dating age!!!

My most memorable date was my first date with my husband. It was a Christmas banquet through his work. We went with mutual friends, and quite honestly, I thought the night was a disaster and didn't expect to ever see him again. He showed up the very next morning at my church and the rest is history!

This book sounds amazing! My son just turned 16 - the required age for "Driver's Ed" and a needed age for "Dater's Ed". Thanks for hosting this give-away.

Blessings,
Joy

Okay, I'm not sure of the most memorable date. Heck I've been married forever!!

I could, however really use this book. With three teenagers, well you can pretty much imagine it would be put to good use.

Angie,

You are such a blessing to me and so generous to host a giveaway with y book!
Writing a book is such a crazy journey! (pun intended?)

Thank you all for your precious stories about dating. Looking back we all want the younger generation to learn how to "Date Defensively, Navigate Safely and Steer Clear of Unhealthy Relationships." That is what the book is all about!

Buckle up parents...It's the "Law of Attraction!"

Dating? I'm with Cheryl. I don't remember too much. I guess the worst one was with my boyfriend's parents and his dad suggested the steak tartare was excellent. Being a sophisticated woman of the world, I was game. They all had juicy, perfectly cooked steaks before them and I choked down three bites of the cold, raw ground meat and promptly ran out of toast points. I tried not to gag. Oh well. I've stuck with fillets from then on.

Sounds like an awesome book. Congratulations, Lisa. Love you, Angie. Annette

Hi Angie

What a cute photo. Sounds like a good book too.

I'm cleaning closets this weekend, but I sneak away periodically to read a few blogs. (Hey, a girl needs a break every once in awhile! Especially from a job I don't enjoy...at all.) It's been fun catching up with you. I hope you're having a good weekend.

Hugs!
Kat

Oh this would defintely be the first date I had with your brother!!

Sure did miss you tonight at the Kathy Troccoli concert! It was great! Can't wait to hear her speak and sing again tomorrow at church! Wish you were with me.

Congrats to Lisa! I think I'll really be needing this, now that Ally's getting to be older! Sure seems different with a daughter!

Hi Ang..
I would love to enter your give away.. Hmm my most memorable date was when my husband Larry asked me out on a date, I was a single mom with a little boy and he asked me if he could take both my son and I out on a date that day, so he could get to know the two of us.
I thought that was the sweetest thing someone could have ever done. He won my heart and also the heart of my son. Larry became my husband and he raised my little boy like his own.

I'm game for this give away. Let's just say my best dates have been lately. Since it is pricey to get a babysitter for five kids, my husband and I will put the kids down by 745PM on a school night and order Chili's to go and have a movie night in our room. We try to do this about once every week or two. It's awesome because we don't have to go out to make it fun. ; )

What is the best job I've ever had?
