Day by Day
Day by day, O dear Lord, three things I pray:
to see thee more clearly,
love thee more dearly,
follow thee more nearly,
day by day, by day, by day.
Today I am grateful for this song from Godspell. It repeats the words of a prayer by Saint Richard of Chichester, who died in 1255. Let this song linger in our hearts today...
Oh, and don't forget to read my post from yesterday. I don't want to rush past it or take it lightly! I love you guys!
I'm praying for you!
Love,
Angie xoxo

We used to sing Day by Day frequently in our chapel services at school. It was in the "old" Episcopal Hymnal. I wonder if it's in the "new" one which is 26 yrs old or so by now.
Blessings to you.

That was one of the first songs my sister learned to play on the guitar, and I got sick of it before I appreciated it. (well, that and all the John Denver songs, like Sweet Surrender) I love that it was old and not another "hippie" song! Thanks for the background and for living in Christ day by day with your heart. Love, Annette
I can't listen to this song on this computer. I will try later at home.
I see you've put my favorite pic of you and hubby on your side bar.
Nice lookin' kiddos. They look very sweet like their mom. :-) smiles.

I love Day by Day- happens to be one of my favorite hymns. I sing it often when I need a reminder that I must allow God to work and take everything DAY by DAY-
Take care
