I was so Blessed by this week's readings of the Bible Cover to Cover chronologically.
Here are some of the verses that have been lingering...
Isaiah 40
1 Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
A lot of days I read our daily readings online. Today God wanted me to read my own Bible. He gave me the sweetest gift. As I looked up Isaiah Chapter 40 I saw some notes I had written back in 2005. Actually, it was exactly 2 weeks before my dad left to go home to be with Jesus. I dated it 1-18-05. I was in North Carolina to be with him in those last days. I remember telling he and my mom about my first Beth Moore study, "Believing God". Girls, this book (God's Word) gives me so much hope and comfort. If you are not reading His word, I beg you to give Him a chance and He will give you hope. He understands that life is hard. I must have found such comfort in those words a few years ago when I was weary. I remember the feeling of Peace I had during that time. I want to share Him with everyone in my life! I know so many who are hurting and need a Savior.
When I am confused and don't know what to do, I know I have a God who will show me the way. I am so grateful...
Isaiah 48
17 This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer,
the Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
Some days He just plain hits me more than others. Today is one of those days when I feel Blessed more than ever! If you want to join us, please e-mail me and I can show you how easy it is to read. He is worthy of our Praise.
More than Blessed,
Angie xoxo

Ang I really can not wait to hug your neck.. I have prayed often for your mom, and I am so happy to hear her news and I am just so happy for you
Angie,
I think I've commented on your blog before but I don't remember. I have been here quite a few times and every post really encourages me. Today I made a decision to read my Bible everyday but don't know where to start. I think there might be a reading plan in the back of my study Bible but I think it would be more fun to read with other ladies. I went to the website to get the reading plan but I couldn't find it. Can you help me?
PS-I hope it's okay I added you to "My Favorite Sites".

Wow I have gotten Isa 40 all week. And Isa 55.
I love reading HIS word. I'm so glad to be a part of this chronological reading. His Word is alive and active! His word teaches, corrects, disciplines and rebukes me. All for HIS glory, so that I may repent and walk in HIS ways.
I'm glad I'm on this journey of growing and learning in the Lord with you. He is amazing!
God is so good!!
Engrafted by His Grace--
Ang, that is so exciting about your mom! Oh that touches me so! Can't imagine how you feel. Loved to think this week as I jogged under that starry host a couple of times that He is calling you and me and has taken your hand. Whoa. Just thrilled to be on this journey with you. Bev
That is fantastic news about your mom ~!
I just love your heart!
Blessings

Oh my goodness Ang!! I am praising Him today for your sweet momma!! Just awesome!!
God is perfect and good isn't he??
Love you,
Fran
You more than bless me with your words of hope and joy! I celebrate with you your mom's baptism and am reminded that He is a mighty God of huge transformations and miracles. Romans 6:4 "Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life." Here is to new life in Him!
Love you, Annette
Rejoicing with you, Angie. What a treasured blessing for God to speak to you through His Word those years back and again now.
Praise Jesus for your momma's baptism.
Love ya,
Paula
Ang, oh my goodness I have so many things to say I don't know where to begin. Okay, first of all that is now the 3rd time in a week that God has given me those verses from Isaiah 40. Guess I better do some praying on those for myself.
Praise God for your mom's baptism! I am in awe right along with you. Also, I did not know that honeybear had a blog of her own. Going visiting in just a minute.
Feel like we haven't connected in forever. Love ya!!

Today's post fed me in a big way. And wow - a new sister in Christ!
What amazing news...oh, but don't you know the chorus of the heavenly host is belting out glad tidings? And did you also know that the transliteration for the word "glad" is "agalliao", meaning "ecstatic joy"?
How precious to think of that vast host ecstatic with joy over your momma - I'm ecstatic right along with them. :o) Go God!
What wonderful news about your Mom! I'm so excited for her and for you.
Hugs!
Kat
Aren't you just DANCING?!!! God is so very abundant in blessing!!
Love to you!
This video captures the applause of creation for her God. Even as the rocks and hills and waters cry out in celebration, I too cry out in celebration for the baptism of your mother.

So thankful with you and singing His praises that your mom was baptized. Know that you are on on cloud nine and singing His praises and loving Him like you've never loved Him. He truly does give us the ability to rise as on the wings of an eagle. My sweet mom is in heaven along with my dad and I know that they are joyful beyond measure. That brings me great joy to know where they are and that I will be with them one day. What a blessing and comfort that is and now you have that too since she got saved. Blessings...
Praise the Lord, that is so wonderful about your mom!! I am also enjoying the readings!
Blessings

God is so good! Glad your son arrived safely....God has a way of putting the right people in our paths. And we are just one...think of how many folks He has to keep up with!
Great to hear the news about your Mom! What a feeling of blessed relief for you! I rejoice with you!
These are some of my favverses, too!
Okay, I'm relieved to see you're back in beautiful form! I am so sorry I took up your whole afternoon and scared myself to death at the same time. No telling what you were thinking about all the "help." You keep your cool very well, my friend! Love, Annette
