just pretend

We woke up to rain and ice on top of the snow we already had this morning. I couldn't go to church because the ice was so bad. It would have been dangerous to make the trip to church. I was supposed to join my cousins for a luncheon to plan a family reunion for this Summer. That was canceled. At first I was happy to be trapped in the house. I did some cleaning that was way overdue. I spent a good part of the day doing my Bible study homework for Tuesday night. I made dinner and that was mediocre. I'm sure we have all had those kinds of days when nothing is really wrong...

God's Word is full of Hope. I learned something fresh again during my homework time. God's Word is God talking to me and my way of talking back to God is... PRAYER. I think it's time for me to get down and pray for all of my sisters so I can get away from my selfish thoughts.

I think I'll dream about being in the picture above. I'll pretend it's so hot that I wish I had some sunscreen. I think I'll pretend I have a full day ahead of me going snorkeling on the island of St. John.

I have so so much to be grateful for this evening! I know it!
I'm just happy listening to this song!

I feel better!
Thanks for listening...
Love,
Angie xoxo

Some days seem like that - I esp. don't like being held hostage by the weather.
Glad you feel better.

I'm trying to get away from those selfish thoughts, too. The music goes great with the picture. I wish it were real and not just pretend.

First of all you're not selfish--very generous in sharing your getaway plan. Sounds like God made a house call today. Calgon take us away...love, Annette

OK I am here to say I am going with you. Brush those other girls off...'cause I just KNOW it's the Lord's will for me to be there...RIGHT NOW!!!!! You can snorkel, and I will sit on the beach soaking up the sun. See, I LOVE being at the beach...ANY beach! But, I just have never been able to embrace the whole 'put your face under water' thing. And, My feet MUST stay on the bottom! But, oh what a lovely time we would have! I could go and get Diet Dr. Peppers and chocolate chip cokies for us to snack on while you were snorkelling! Itll be great! All I need to do is lose 30 pounds and I'll be ready!

Angie,

Have seen you around blogville/siestaville too.. I was reading some of your posts below. How awesome that you got to meet your friend Annie... I loved the long list of "I wouldn't of 's"... I love how things are orchestrated by God (I believe)...I think we just need to stop and recognize it is Him at work.

Blessings to you!! I shall be in San Antonio too if everything works out :)

What is the best job I've ever had?
