Sometimes I wonder how many of us are wide awake at 3:00 in the morning? I had dinner with some loved ones tonight. They watch a lot more news than I do and explained a lot of the issues I've chosen to avoid concerning our government. It's a scary world out there. I don't have to tell you these times are so uncertain. If I let my imagination go wild, I can get into a worry frenzy and it really does intensify in the middle of the night. I am especially concerned about our kids, who are just out of college or about to finish in the near future. What will happen?
I need to be still and know that God has it all under control. What would Jesus have to say at a time like this? I bet He would tell us to keep trusting Him and we will be okay if we stay close to Him and His Word.
Matthew 6:27
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
Some of you have other concerns that keep you up at night. I recommend you be still and listen to Him. You'll be okay.
He promises...
I hope you all have a restful sleep tonight!
Love,
Angie xoxo

In this frenzied world, it is so hard to be still. To listen. To rest. We desperately need it. Word of God speak to our hearts, quicken to His Voice and bask in His peace. Love you, Annette
Thanks for sharing this. It is one of my favorite songs. I haven't seen it put to photos, so it was special to see. I pray that we would listen to hear His voice speak to us.
Okay are you in my brain? I have such difficulty sleeping and I don't know why. I do know that God is not surprised by anything going on in our lives or our country. So grateful that He is soveriegn even when I don't understand.
Love to you-
Sheryl
It's not the middle of the night here yet but I am getting ready to head off to the land of nod.
It is a challenging world we live in today. So much uncertainty. You and I both know that there is only one thing for sure and that is Jesus is coming again and we have Hope In Him for our future.
May we all find rest in that truth tonight.
This is one of my favorite songs as well. (It's the ringer on my phone when Jessi calls.)
I have struggled a lot with worry lately. Worry over things that I cannot change. (political situations and the state of the nation being two of them.) Actually, there are two things I can do...pray and obey...but they don't seem to be enough. (I don't really want to run the world, it just seems that way sometimes.) Anyway, worry leads to stress which leads to health issues which makes me miserable. So what have I gained?
Thank you for the reminder that we rest in Him.
love you,
karen
Great post. Worry does nothing to add to our health or well being...and it can be so hard not to worry...we are yoked to Jesus, He carries the burden for us...if we let Him.
Peace to you.
Love, Annette
Ang,
3:00am must be the magic time for many of us.
It's scary times we are living in, however the one thing I know is that God doesn't change and He is there for us and will take care of us. I have reflected on what is going on in our country w/ Wall Street and Main Street and I cannot help but think about the verses from Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." The almighty dollar has become a god to so many. Has America served a different master than the one our forefathers relied on?
Praying for all of us and the worries that burden our hearts. May God provide the peace that only He can give to each one of us!
Sending hugs your way.
I know! It is crazy all that is going on right now. I bet God would say, "Girl if you only knew what was going on every day in so and sos life in Tibet. Or wherever...Things are crazy, they always have been. But I hold the stars in place."
Yes!!!
God is still in control of our lives, if we let him be
I love you Ang!!
As I sit here at almost midnight getting ready to watch the debate that we missed tonight - I understand completely what you are saying and what your concerns are, especially for the next generation. And then, I have to bring my Towanda self back to the realization that God is in control. So I think our best plan of action for this country right now is to talk to Him - praying, Kathy
