The Wonderful Cross
Last night my son got injured during his lacrosse practice. (He ended up with a bad sprain. He's okay today. Praise God.) As a mother, I panicked when I got the call. I wanted to rush to help him. He lives about an hour and 15 minutes from our house and the fog was so thick I couldn't go be with him. He had to drive himself to the ER and didn't even know where the hospital was located. I am telling you this because I can't imagine anything happening to my son (or daughter) let alone watching him endure the pain and agony of the cross. God loved us so much that He gave His Only Son for us. He trusted His father every single step of the way. Thank you, Jesus!
We had the best Passover service at church tonight! I am so grateful for reading all about this recently in Exodus as part of our chronological reading of His Word.
God is so good and His love endures forever!
Angie xoxo

Oh, I am so thankful for John being okay and for his test going well! He did it, and he's the man. I know he wanted mom, but he did it.
And you got the song on first. It was probably still will be my Good Friday song...Praising Him for an amazing Gift of Love. Love, Annette
We sing this at church, and it is a chilling song to think about the words--Love so amazing so diving demands my soul, my life, my all!
This Friday I will be doing a meditation on the 3rd word from the cross... Woman here is your son... Son here is your mother. What you said about how you felt about your son being hurt is one of the points I will be making. Jesus knew his mother's pain from 2 angles! Her sons, and Her savior!
Blessings!
I love ya Angie! I'm almost at a loss of words this Thursday morning as I think about the cross and our precious Jesus.
He is the ultimate Savior!
Love,
Fran

Angie...
So glad your son is ok.
Prayers for quick healing, so he's back on the lacrosse field soon!
Ang,
Oh I am so glad John is ok - I can not imagine knowing my baby was injured and not being able to get to him.
I loved the way you transitioned into God's Son and His pain and suffering for us on the cross.
It is unimaginable and beyond words!
I am forever grateful for God's unconditional love and faithfulness!
Blessings!

So very glad John is OK. But a sprain can be very painful. I have been at that place before where I know one of mine is hurt and I can't get to them. That's difficult, isn't it? Hope he mends quickly.
Whenever I think that no one understands how it feels to watch Alex suffer and be in such pain...I try to remember God had to watch His son suffering too. He had to watch Him endure the pain. He understands...He knows.
Much love and Easter joy to you, my friend!

May I be mindful, not just this week, but ever mindful of how much He loves me and how much He gave for me.
Blessings to you...
