Age Doesn't Matter

I've been reading on this blog for some time now. I have enjoyed all of the stories and I've learned SO much. There is something I've noticed along the way that I think is SO cool. Then last night I read something very interesting in the book of Job. The truth is this: Age does not matter to God! He has used women of all ages to inspire and teach me something every single day. Some of my favorite blogs are written by young women who are in college and I also love to read blogs written by women older than my parents! God is so amazing to bring us all together. We are family! He doesn't care how old we are. (Maybe this is on my mind because I will be turning another year older pretty soon.) I love hearing stories and insights written by singles, newly married, new parents, parents of teenagers, empty-nesters, grandparents and widows.

Job 32:6-9

6 So Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said:
"I am young in years,
and you are old;
that is why I was fearful,
not daring to tell you what I know.

7 I thought, 'Age should speak;
advanced years should teach wisdom.'

8 But it is the spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.

9 It is not only the old who are wise,
not only the aged who understand what is right.

You ALL inspire me and I am grateful!
Thank you so much!
Your sister,
Angie xoxo

I agree about the age....I have friends of all ages. I gain something from each one. It keeps me fresh and new and searching. You inspire me and I love reading your blog!

I agree too! I have younger friends who bring out the youth in me and older friends that make me feel young and I learn from... it's win win situation either way! God did use so many different aged women, He loves us all!

I love this. Your post reminds me of something Beth said tonight about time. We think time is slipping away, but in God's economy (my paraphrase) God's time is always moving toward something. See Gal 4 "In the fullness of time, God sent forth His Son,..." We are moving toward the Day of Salvation. And if this doesn't make you feel better, always know I'm two years down the pike ahead of you, so you will always be younger! Love you, annie

Angie,
I enjoyed reading that in Job also. Reminded me of when Paul encouraged Timothy to teach and not let anyone look down upon him because he was young. (1 Tim 4)

Having the young and older in my Bible study group is what I love because I'm right in the middle!

I enjoy reading blogs from those in college to those who are grandparents as I learn and glean so much.

I hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

Blessing in Christ--

I really agree too, I love reading blogs written by all different ages. Some of the young ones are really wise and have not wasted what God has taught them. I'm always open to be taught by anyone of any age....I like to learn something new about Him and my relationship to Him every day. Thanks for the great insight and posting it....

I am blessed to have friends of all ages, also. And, I really think the young women of today are far wiser than we were. The young mothers that I encounter daily are far ahead of what I was at that age. But, then, I suppose the women my mom's age would say the same thing of my generation. You are right. We must always stay open to learn from whomever...whenever. Knowledge is power. And it should be passed on.
Loved those verses in Job!
