You look cute in your helmet!

My heart has been heavy these past couple of days because there has been an accident involving a very loving mother of four daughters in our communiy. I met her a couple of times and don't know her well, but I am sure she was an amazing woman and nurse. She was in a fatal biking accident while on a ride with her husband at their summer cottage. The news made me stop in my tracks because I have been guilty of riding my bike without my helmet. This is such an important reminder for all of us!

It has also made me think about how GRATEFUL I am for having God in my life! Where would I be without Jesus? How can anything make sense without Him? I can only pray for her family and hope they know our God!!! I have no idea where they stand, but I do know that if God should bring me home suddenly, I want my children to know that they will always have a place to find comfort!

I also hope they remember this:

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

I love God more today than ever!

What a tragic accident! And what a beautiful post. I, too, am grateful that I have God in my life.

I love Proverbs 3:5 and since I'm doing the Proverbs Challenge, today I will be reading the third chapter.

Happy Friday sweet friend.

Hugs!

Hi, Angie, thanks for stopping by to visit me. So nice to meet a fellow Christian! What a tragic story. I'm so sorry for that family. And I have always biked without a helmet too.

I love that Proverbs verse..in fact, it's my very favorite & I have it on my blog.

Please come back & visit me again!

Hi Angie, thanks for coming to my blog. I love your heart! I agree with you when you said, How can anything make sense w/o the Lord in our lives.

I am so thankful that my faith is in the blood that Jesus shed for me because I could never be good enough to get into heaven myself. Like you, I love Him more today than I ever did before.

God bless you, dear blogging friend!
Hugs,
Cheryl

That is so sad!!
My hubby and I bike with the boys all the time. At first I told him I did not want a helmet but he insisted we be a good example. I am so glad b/c it does mean more when children see their parents making good choices too!!
BTW a snake in the house while you were in the shower - I would have died!! I do not like snakes!! LOL!!!

FYI: I went to the bike shop in town this afternoon to get my old helmet checked out and adjusted. They told me mine was too old and had a dent in it so I needed to buy a new one. It was only $35.00 so I decided it was worth it!

Love to all!

Wow...maybe I need to invest in a helmet for future purposes too.

And God reminded me of that verse last night. Looks like it's going to be a keeper here these next few days in this heart of mine...

What is the best job I've ever had?
