Okay... I have to go back to work tomorrow after having a week off of work! We had such a nice vacation in northern Michigan. We rented a cottage on Mullett Lake and it was adorable! It was so tiny and cute and reminded me of a doll house! I had my quiet time every morning while sitting on a picnic table out by the lake with a cup of coffee, the sun shining brightly, while listening to the loons! I just love the sound they make!! I am doing my study on 90 Days with David and I just love it so much! (This was the first time I have ever taken my Bible with me on vacation... so this was huge!)
We swam, showered in the lake, went on our waverunner, read books, cooked out, had a bonfire and went golfing too!
Yesterday was our last day up north and we decided to spend the day on Macinac Island. We had lunch at a cool restraunt to celebrate our anniversary. We rode a tandem bike around the Island which is about 8 miles. That was fun until my husband decided to ride NO HANDED with me on the back! Did I ever tell you how much of a handful he can be? I better not get started! Then we had our Macinac Island Fudge ice cream before heading back on the ferry to catch our car to drive home!
We would definitely love to come back soon!

I just love this bloggin' I am finding so many sisters around this great country of ours. I found you from Shelly's blog -
What a lovely little cottage! Looks like my kind of vacation! My Bible made the trip to Colorado for our annual ski trip this past February!
We have family in Frankenmuth, MI and visit quite often - love the mitten state! :)
Bless you sister! Happy Anniversary!
Kristen from Indiana!
Ang,
I forgot you live in Michigan!!
We are headed there on Wed for a wedding in Flusing and then on the next Monday (July 16th) we are heading to Macinac for a few days!
I am so excited about Macinac - any tips?
God bless you siesta!
Kim
Hey Kim,
I'm still new at this and I'm not sure if it's better to respond this way or go to your blog spot and comment on yours??? I am open to any suggestions!!
So... until I learn the right way I will do it this way. :)
My macinac tips:
We always use Sheplers' Ferry to get there. (Straight thru town). When we get off we go left and get our bikes from any one of the places. I'm sure you already know that no cars are allowed on the island. You must ride your bikes around the Island! You will want to check out the Grand Hotel (Where Somewhere In Time was filmed.) We don't go in anymore because they charge too much! We had a GREAT lunch at The Carriage House. (Again just to the left of the boat down at the end) They have beautiful flowers! In fact, that's where we took the picture on our anniversary! It's a "classy" place and the view is amazing! We don't get dessert because we must get an ice cream cone in town! Some people tour the Fort, but we have never done that. They have a lot of fun shops in town. Hope this helps!
Enjoy your wedding! My sister lives close to Flushing!
Have a great day!
Blessings,
Ang
