Hey Sistas~
I had the BEST weekend ever! I am from a big family I am the 6th of 7 children. I have 4 sisters and 2 brothers. (We were all born in 10 years!) Years ago we used to try to have a "girls" weekend once a year. That stopped after my oldest sister passed away from Breast Cancer 9 years ago! She is another story completely! Then my father went to join her 2-1/2 years ago. Needless to say, my mother has had a VERY difficult time with God since then. (I should also mention that she has many health issues. She is diabetic, has had a cancerous lung tumor removed and a triple bypass surgery the summer before my father passed away. She was in a coma for more than two weeks before she stopped breathing then was revived!) God was not ready to take her yet and she wondered why?
Recently, my sisters and sisters-in-law tried to plan a girls weekend. I thought it would be fun to go to the Women of Faith Conference in Cleveland. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of interest except my sister-in-law and my mother! Yes, you heard it right, my MOTHER! I was SO excited to have her be surrounded by MANY sisters in Christ and to spend a day with Beth Moore! Honestly, I was a bit, no VERY nervous about how she would handle it! I was ready for her to be too tired to go to all of the sessions. I was preparing myself to not be too disappointed if she had an ugly attitude about Beth. But... God showed up BIG TIME! She had a great time. I heard her telling my other sister on the phone how much she loved it. She loved the music, all of the guest speakers and she said she hasn't laughed or cried so much since she can remember! Mom was so excited when we got to ride the elevator with Patsy Clairmont (Did you notice the picture with my Mom and Patsy?), and Sandi Patty and her daughters! Thelma Wells stopped to shake her hand twice and she was so excited. She talked with Ayiesha Woods in the bathroom. She loved the music and the dramas. She bought ALL of the books!!! It was a wonderful weekend and I highly recommend it to anyone! It was very exhilerating yet draining. Mom did not get tired like I expected. By the last session my sister-in-law and I were exhausted but Mom was sitting on the edge of her seat. She didn't want to miss a thing! We had such a nice time. After the conference we went to a fabulous seafood dinner and we took Mom shopping for a few new clothes to add to her wardrobe! On Sunday Mom got on the plane to head home to North Carolina, my sister-in law drove back to Michigan so I could drop her off at the train station to get her back to Wisconsin!
Girls, I cannot tell you how amazing God was for us. There is nothing like a good laugh and some tears to help us regroup! It has taken us awhile but I think next year we will probably have a few more sisters want to join us! We are back!!!

GOD is SO GOOD! I am SO grateful!
In Christ Alone!
