Tonight I had to share my good news with you, my kids, brother and sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews...
Three weeks and two days (who's counting?) ago, I had the BRCA gene test done. I weighed the pros and cons for a long time before making the final decision to go ahead and have it. I researched extensively via Google University and I must have asked a hundred people their opinions first. I also had a dear friend (Linda), who made it her business to strongly encourage me on a consistent basis.
Most of you know that cancer has invaded my family and I've lost too many family members as a result. It's hard not to
I was in the grocery store this afternoon when my doctor's office called and told me that my test results came back Negative for the BRCA gene. Yes! My life is still in God's hands and I am fully aware that there are still no guarantees that I won't get cancer, but I can breathe a little easier tonight.
With Praise and Thanksgiving, I thought you would want to know. :)
In His Grip,
Angie
p.s. Please pray for those who have lost their loved-ones and miss them like crazy.
(I'll never forget when Dave posted Sissy's Song on my fb page.)
