I thoroughly enjoy the process of finding my Scripture memory verses. I hate to admit it, but I get myself a little stressed out, since I want to find the perfect verses to memorize. You see, I have become dependent on them at 3:00 in the morning.
Update: I changed my verse today on Oct. 2nd. I read something the other day that I cannot get out of my mind. A friend was talking about her ability (and inability) to "read between the lines". I got to thinking. Sometimes I think I do that so I do not have to communicate my thoughts. I expect people to read my mind. It's just not right and is a very bad habit. And I've noticed I've done that with some of the songs I have posted on this blog. I even did it yesterday! I'll be in a place where I have no words, just a song. It made me realize why I love God's Word so much. He does not play games and He always has a clear Word for me (and you)!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~Phil 4:6-7 (NIV)

This was one of my Mom's favorite songs. I can still hear her singing it. I love the words and I think we should ask this of ourselves every day. Thanks for bringing this sweet memory to my mind. Blessings to you

I practice my memorization at 3 am too! This is a great one and I may add it before the year is out.
Great Scripture...I almost chose this 1 earlier this year...blessings to you!

I love you that you 'worry' yourself over the right verse, b/c I have caught myself doing the same things at time. So precious!
