24 hours of Prayer and Worship

Beginning last night after our Wednesday night service we had 24 hours of prayer and worship in the chapel. It was a time set apart to meditate, reflect, pray and center ourselves on Jesus. I have no idea how many different worship leaders participated. There was constant music. It was an amazing time with God. I wished I could have stayed there for the entire 24 hours. All day I couldn't help but think about what was going on just a mile away. I couldn't wait to get out of work tonight to get back there. As I sat alone, I thought about each patient I saw today. I prayed for them. I saw some who are looking for jobs... Dealing with dementia... Battling breast cancer-- and wanted me to be extra careful. ... Fighting Crohn's disease...A man very frustrated with our government and our world... A lonely mom of adult children living in other states.

My heart aches for every lost person who doesn't know Jesus. He is so much bigger than anything they have to face in this life. He wants us to lay our longings at His feet.

I heard 5 different musicians sing the same song last night and again tonight. I was singing my heart out to an audience of One. "How Great is Our God". His presence was so heavy in that chapel and I left feeling the Peace I had just prayed for the other day. He is faithful when we keep believing Him.

I am cleansed and renewed. He is SO worthy of my Praise tonight!
Love,
Angie

That is seriously so neat! I can imagine that the presence of God was so evident. Doesn't it help you remember that we don't need a worship service to go worship and meditat at, but we can have HIM 24 hours a day wherever we are??!! Great reminder for me.

You have an awesome ministry, Angie. I am sure you exude Christ to every patient that walks through those doors! You have such hope to offer them!

Love ya!

Oh my word, the things this song does to my little heart. I can hardly stay on my feet when we do it in worship, I just wanna lay flat out on the floor. LOVE my God!

Somehow when 9-11 came this year, I approached it with some ambivilence. I tried to write a post, but it seemed nothing was left to say. And then I read your blog, and I see the perfect response-prayer. Thank you. Love, Annette
