Memory verse #13

It's our 8th Anniversary on July 7th!
I'm grateful for all God is teaching me in my marriage! Please pray we continue to keep God as our center. I don't know how any marriage could survive without Him. Thanks!

"Above all, love each other deeply,
because love covers over a multitude of sins."
(1 Peter 4:8)

Love,
Angie xoxo

p.s. Just testing myself on my Scripture memory verse:
"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,
but only what is helpful for building others up,
according to their needs.
that it will (may) benefit those who listen." (Eph 4:29)

I have the rest of today to get it down perfectly!

He'll be there...

"I'll Be There" by Michael Jackson

You and I must make a pact, we must bring salvation back
Where there is love, I'll be there

I'll reach out my hand to you, I'll have faith in all you do
Just call my name and I'll be there

And oh - I'll be there to comfort you,
Build my world of dreams around you, I'm so glad that I found you
I'll be there with a love that's strong
I'll be your strength, I'll keep holding on - yes I will, yes I will

Let me fill your heart with joy and laughter
Togetherness, well that's all I'm after
Whenever you need me, I'll be there
I'll be there to protect you, with an unselfish love I respect you
Just call my name and I'll be there

If you should ever find someone new, I know he'd better be good to you
'Cos if he doesn't, I'll be there

Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah
I'll be there, I'll be there, just call my name, I'll be there

(Just look over your shoulders, honey - ooh)

I'll be there, I'll be there, whenever you need me, I'll be there

Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah
I'll be there, I'll be there, just call my name, I'll be there..
.

I'm so grateful!
Love, Angie

First things first

Lord, You know I'm having a difficult time memorizing my Scripture verse this time. It's already June 26th and I can't seem to remember it. I don't feel it's possible to apply it to my life until I get this one...

"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." (Luke 6:45)

Help me feel your unconditional love so I can show it to all who come in my path, especially those closest to me. Only then can I possibly remember the verse I chose.

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." (Eph 4:29)

In Jesus' name,
Amen

"In the name of..."

I've been trying to get a grip on the amount of time I spend on my computer. Is it really an unhealthy addiction? I must admit I still click around when I'm bored. I still visit FB (and even Twitter) to check up on family and friends. I know "what" people are doing, but it rarely reveals where they are in their hearts. It's becoming too shallow for me. I haven't been visiting blogs very much either and I'm sorry.

When I was growing up I remember my parents sitting at the head of the table. My dad was at one end and my mom at the other with all 7 kids in between. I remember before every single meal my dad (in his very low voice) would start out prayers with, "In the name of ..." and we would join him by saying, "The Father, Son and Holy Spirit". I never gave it much thought until this morning.

In today's lesson in Experiencing God we talked about God speaking to us through the Holy Spirit. He tells us what to do and we are to respond to Him immediately! I had never given Him a lot of credit. Surely not the same as I give Jesus! Honestly, I've always been a little scared of the Holy Spirit. Maybe since I've heard so many people refer to Him as the Holy "ghost" and I don't really believe in ghosts. Correct me if I'm wrong. Are they real? And I love how Henry Blackaby said, "We fail to realize than an encounter with the Holy Spirit, who lives within us, is an encounter with God". When I considered the Holy Spirit I didn't know for certain that it was God's way of telling me how to respond to a situation. I thought those "nudges" were just thoughts crossing my mind. Blackaby also reminded me that I cannot understand God's Word unless the Spirit of God teaches me. I want His Word to produce fruit in my life.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Gal 5:22-23)

Once again I ask the Holy Spirit to come and fill this blog!
Grateful for His unconditional Love,
Angie xoxo

Memory verse #12

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Ephesians 4:29)

Trust me, I need this one for my collection.
It reminds me of what my dad used to say, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".

Much love,
Angie xoxo

Memory verse #11

I changed my mind on my next memory verse. Who am I kidding? I need this one more times than I'd like to admit to the whole world! I'm praying you are being blessed by your Scripture memorization. If you aren't doing it, you can still start! We are memorizing a verse every 1st and 15th of the month. God is SO good and His Word will take your faith to another level you never dreamed possible!

Happy June 1st!
Love,
Angie xoxo

What is the best job I've ever had?
