She won
Because He Lives
God sent His Son - they called Him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
How sweet to hold a newborn baby
And feel the pride and joy he gives;
But greater still the calm assurance:
This child can face uncertain days because Christ lives.
And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory - and I'll know He lives.
Today I went to a funeral for a patient who passed away after her battle with cancer. It is my understanding that she called it a "war" with cancer. (I had never heard it called that.) She went home to be with Jesus. The funeral was beautiful. It was the first one I have attended in a Bible believing church or the first one since I really "get it". Donna was loved by so many friends and family. Her faith was so obvious to everyone who talked about her. She was a Godly wife... I heard that over and over again. I heard this was her favorite song, especially during these past couple of weeks. I just heard this song for the first time recently and I've listened to it so many times since then. Donna was such an inspiration to me as well as so many! I'm glad she's with Jesus tonight!
I am so honored to have my relationship with Jesus.
Love,
Angie xoxo

Here is my first week of random photos. I wonder if I can find Bible verses to go along with each day? 1). Took pics of my Christmas Cards...

These women are as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. They are my sisters in Christ and I thank God for the opportunity to...

i'm sorry for your loss ang. this is when the phrase "she is in a better place" is really true and we have so much comfort in that. this phrase was said to us over and over again at my dad's recent funeral but i hear it at all funerals. we know she is and that she is with the Lord and we WILL see each other again...and we/her will be forever with the Lord. why is it people just don't get it that there is longer than here we better take care of there while we are here.
i just listened to ed young today he went to new york and talked with people on the street jay leno style. he quesioned people as to the real meaning of Christmans and if there is a heaven how do we get there. please listen to the sermon and the people on the street interviews fall somewhat in the middle. he is a very creative communicator. ed young ministries and press watch now. you will be blessed.
love, janel
ps that song by the gaithers is a goody i just love it.
Ya know...the closer I walk with Jesus its hard for me to get too sad over death. I have a Godly jealousy for what they have seen and encountered. What will it be like when we enter into His presence?? I cry every time I think about. I'm not ready to go and leave my family behind just yet, but if I did, I so wish I could come back and tell what its like! :)
Peace to you this day~

I bet if Fran did, we'll all yearn to be there! I'm so sorry for the loss of your patient, but joyous at her winning the war of life victoriously with Jesus. Because He Lives...love you so, annie
I am so sorry for her passing but that is how I want to be remembered. As a woman who loves God with a passion!!
What a legacy.
Blessings,
Kim

Hi, Ang, how sweet that you are just now hearing this old Bill Gaither song..he has written some classics & that is one of them. So sorry for the loss of your patient, but she was very blessed to have you in her life.
Hugs & Merry Christmas!

Oh, death where is thy sting?
Since losing two good friends to death now, I have no fear of dying. Now I don't want to be in pain, don't mistake me. But I long to be in the presence of Christ!
P.S. I have loved that song for many, many years! The chorus which says "Because He lives, I can face tomorrow." has blessed my heart many times when it was crushed.
