Heart**** instead of Face****

Facebook really gets me thinking. I love to see the pictures people choose to put for their profile picture. Some add pictures of themselves as kids, some of them doing something they love... some with people they admire, their spouses or their family. I swear some look like professional pictures that have been touched up to look perfect! Some people are doing the craziest things! The thing I like most is that we all get to choose how we want the world to see us... on the outside! Oh, and what's up with everyone having "stars" and "famous" people as their profile picture these days? Honestly, I don't think I look like any "stars" and I'm okay with it. There is just one person I wouldn't mind being confused with...

I wish it were called "Heartbook" instead of "Facebook". Just imagine what it would look like if we saw just the hearts of the people we love and call "friends". It's just a thought.

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)

Grateful to know who is famous and how I am supposed to get ready before I walk out the door...
Much love,
Angie xoxo

Thank You, Beth Moore

My good friend, Annette and me.
Annette, Beth and me.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light for my path." ~Psalm 119:105

This past weekend I had the opportunity to thank the woman who was obedient to God, and encouraged me to memorize 24 Scripture verses last year. Her Bible studies have taught me so much these past few years and I'm forever grateful! Her love of the Word and Jesus is contagious. When I was on the plane coming home from Houston this afternoon, I realized how much His Word changed me. He just used Beth Moore as a vessel to get me excited. My prayers have been to get His Word from my head to my heart. I think it worked. Now I want to press it deeper. If you have the chance, read Psalm 119. Trust me, it will change your life.

His Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. I want to follow Him.

A palindrome

I had never heard of a palindrome until January 2nd of this year on 01-02-2010. A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. Not only does it read opposite, the meaning is the exact opposite. A friend just shared another one with me and I thought it was worth borrowing. Wow!

Happy Tuesday!

I'm "Still" Grateful

I heard this song tonight and it couldn't have been more timely. I have a lot on my mind these days and this song was a whisper to me from God. I feel the need to share it with you in case you forgot. I know many of you have a heavy heart tonight as well. Remember God is bigger than any of our concerns.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." ~Psalm 46:10

What would we do without His Word?

#1 for 2010 Scripture Memory Verse

Memorizing Scripture last year blessed me more than anything I've done in my life. It helped me in situations where only God could help me find Peace. Those early morning hours spent trying to find that perfect Scripture were precious. A lot of times I changed my mind. I woke up this morning trying to recall all of those verses. When I couldn't think of them on the pages of Scripture I remembered my pictures. I am such a visual person.

I still haven't decided if I am going to Houston for the celebration the end of this month or not, because well ...I'm afraid of failing. I'm afraid that when the test comes to recite them in front of someone else I won't be able to remember any of them. Knowing myself, if I only remember some of them, it won't be good enough. I want to remember all 24 of them. I will be a total failure in my own skin. (Pause... I was just convicted as I was typing this) ---> ---> Okay, I guess I'll be honest...I'm afraid that when the real test comes (when I am forced to be even more desperate for Him) ---> I won't be able to remember His promises ---> and I won't trust Him. I will keep praying about all of this.

Anyway, long story short I have decided to keep on memorizing in 2010. If I'm going to confuse myself I might as well really confuse myself! I'm sure my choice for January 1st doesn't surprise you. I'm getting to the age where I need to be more conscious about what is going into my body!
I just want to be healthy.

Here's to Believing God for the impossible in 2010!
Love,
Angie xoxo
